Lines: 15 Arg! I tried to install a ds1216E time chip in my Atari 1040STf and it doesn't fit, even cutting the power supply doesn't work. However, bright idea! I have a two chip TOS set, which means I have 4 open slots where the full 6 chip TOS would normally go. Question: can I solder the DS1216E socket/chip into one of the open slots and have it work. Or od you need to have a TOS chip plugged into it, or did Atari bastardize the thing so only the two slots where the TOS chips are work? Help, soon, please!
