If one wants to create a new program type like GTP (GEM Takes
Parameters) it seems to me that all you'd have to do is rename
the appropriate programs with the GTP extent and then write a 
little program to pop up a dialog requesting the command line and then
executing the program.  It would be an "Installed Application".  If
anyone is interested, I'll write such a beast as it wouldn't take that long.
