Currently everything is standalone, so I have to start from scratch. I have looked through some old DECdirect catalogs to get an idea of what to look for, and I think I found it: (pardon the ASCII representation) Thinwire ethernet with 'T's 50ohm __ _______ ______ ______ ______ ______ _____ 50ohm term T T T T T T term DESTA DESTA DEPCA DEPCA DEPCA DESTA | | PC1 PC2 PC3 | | | | DEQNA DEUNA DSRVA-AA MVII 11/84 with assorted (BA23) terminals/ printers/ and a modem for dialing out What I am looking for is just about everything you see in the diagram. I need a DEQNA (I will be running VMS 5.3), DEUNA, three DECnet-DOS supported boards (like the DEPCA or 3COM Etherlink boards), DSRVAA DECserver 100, three DESTA's, and assorted wire and T's. Ethernet II is fine with me, as I won't be running anything new enough that will be 802.3 (I don't think so anyway, but I could be wrong.) . If anyone has any of this equipment sitting around, let me know. I don't have an exhorbitant amount of money, but I do know a bargain when I see one. And if anyone has any comments/suggestions about Ethernet, please let me know. Thanks, Chris Kalisiak kalisiak@acsu.buffalo.edu
