      Richard Nelson is in the throes of putting together the schedule

(and all kinds of other pertinent details) for the August 2-3-4 1991

handheld computer user's conference in Corvallis OR.  As soon as it is

available I will post it here (about a week from this notice).  Anyone

wishing to present a paper or give a talk should contact him (at

EduCalc 714-582-2631), or feel free to email me and I'll forward stuff

to him.

      I am one of the half a dozen folks on the conference committee;

please feel free to request any conference information.  Tentative info

so far:  nearest airports - Portland and Eugene, Oregon, with shuttles

for $21 to Corvallis.  Tons of local hotels ranging from $12 (local

campus dorms) to $90.  Expected afternoon tour of HP facility.  Lunch

provided on all days.  Up to a dozen vendors displaying their handheld

computers, peripherals, related books, trivia, and historical devices. 

Registration around $35.  Opportunities to buy, sell, swap hardware,

software, and ideas.  Put faces to those sigs.  See you there!
