I am trying to install a CD-ROM into a PS/2-80 with a SCSI port and the computer will lockup as soon as it reads the device driver in config.sys. One posible problem maybe the "80" came with a SCSI port, the IBM CD-ROM came with another Micro Channel SCSI card as well. I thought the SCSI existing in the PS/2-80 would be the same as the IBM SCSI card ordered with the CD-ROM. So I used the existing SCSI port. Is this wrong? Are ther yet differnt SCSI standards with in the same vendor? I could use any help I can get.
