I downloaded somefiles from wsmr-simtel20.army.mil and I guess they're supposed to be stuffit files But they have been saved as a TEXT filetype and so Stuffit won't accept them. PLUS. When I do change the Creator and FileTypes onthe files Stuffit still crys when I try to open them as a Stuffit archive. I've used Symantic tools to look inside the files and it SEEMS that all I need to do is delete the first 100 or so bytes of the file and Stuffit might accept them. Imparetive on the word SEEMS. Since I don't have a true byte editor or sector editor I can't edit the file as I wish. So the questions are: 1. Am I on the right track? 2. If so where can I find such an editor? if anyone from wsmr-simtel20.army.mil is looking please let me know what is recommended. Any other help is of course, WELCOME. Matthew
