[Asking this for a friend who picked up a Lisa for $180 at a
hamfest. He wants to keep it as a Lisa, as the whole reson he
bought it was novelty value. I couldn't find a comp.sys.lisa, so
this looked like the best bet :-)]

LOTS OF QUESTIONS!

WHAT MODEL?
---- ------
Says on case: Model number A6SB100. Memory option A6B108.
APPLENET 00100254. Manufactured 83053. Has parallel port on
back, which is not shown on pictures in Lisa 2 manual.

INTERNAL HARD DRIVE

Lots of space inside for a hard drive. Can one be hooked up?
With what connector?

HD INTERFACE
-- ---------
Apple ProFile, modl #A9M0005. 25 pin female connector (SCSI?
parallel? sort of works when connected to parallel port on Lisa)
 
BIGGER HD?
------ ---
Can a bigger HD be put inside the ProFile? Currently contains a
Seagate ST-506 5 meg drive (full height :->). Could a 30 meg or
so ST-506 interface drive be put inside? What would have to be
done to use it?

UPGRADING TO MAC

System came with "Macintosh system 2.0 prerelease" disk, which
boots ok. Can this thing be upgraded to a mac, and if so how?
Could it then still be used as a Lisa?

UPGRADING LISA ROMS
--------- ---- ----
ROMs are 341-0175 and -0176, REV C. Are there more recent
versions than C?

FLOPPY DRIVE
------ -----
Single sided, presumably. Can read the Mac disks, but doesn't
boot off the Lisa disks (Lisaguide and the system disk). Any
ideas?

WIERD FLOPPIES
----- --------
System came with pascal compiler, which comes on some 5-1/4"
disks the likes of which I've never seen. Any way to get this
software on 3.5" disks? The disks have two head-access slots,
180 degrees apart, and have all sorts of extra notches and
holes.

EXPANSION BOARD

Has 3 25-pin female connectors, one of which is unaccessible
when the cover is on the machine! Model number SK1285-01 printed
on board, written on the board by hand is SK1356-01. What is it?

MEMORY
------
Has two boards, supposedly 512K each. Can more memory be added?
The boards currently installed are 620-01 (hand written was:
12-B)

EXTERNAL MACDRIVES

Can external mac floppies be hooked up? Where to?

DOUBLE SIDED DRIVES
------ ----- ------
Can a double sided drive be used?

INFO ON PRINTER
---- -- -------
Apple Letter Quality Printer, model A3M0025. Daisywheel printer.
Is this a standard serial connection? Can replacement typewheels
and ribons be obtained? Any special features/capabilities/problems?
