I am looking to be able to do the following: hook up to a IBM mainframe in the background of a Hypercard 2 stack using either an ethernet connection, appletalk which is gated to ethernet, or a serial line connection, modem. I need to be able to do all of these. Within Hypercard I need to keep a 3270 type screen for my program to read and write, but the user will never see it. Does anyone have any pointers about where I can get the comm toolbox tools I need? What about alternate strategies? Can I make MacTCP calls like TN3270 does? New to communications programming (obviously). Jim
