It was packed to the gills (literally only 512 bytes left). Under 6.0.x, if I had inserted it, the Finder would bitch "Unable to create desktop" or something like that and unmount the disk. Under 7.0, the machine hangs (can't even break to MacsBug) unless the disk is locked. Great, eh?
