I'm considering getting a NeXT for my graduate work in connectionist NLP, the dictionary being the biggest attraction, but would like some expert feedback first. How flexible is retrieval from Webster? Are individual senses/fields retrievable? I have heard that there are direct links to the thesaurus, is this so? Is there any explicit dicussion in the software liscence regarding use on a network (i.e. with non-NeXT machines), use of extracted information, use of extracted non-explicit (relation-oriented) information, etc., etc...??? Send email and I will post a summary of significant replies.
