Through the vaguaries of purchasing time and Novell's update policy we now have a 3.11 upgrade in hand with a 250-user license. We have another 2.15C server, with lots of users. We would like to upgrade it to 3.11. There is no real upgrade promotion that applies, so we are looking at a big bill for a 100- or 250-user license. However, a 20-user license upgrade is only $350. But it would be on the 'wrong' server. Does anyone know a reason why I couldn't buy the 20 user upgrade, install it on the present 3.10 server, and then install the 250 user upgrade on the 2.15c server? For that matter, if both server had already been upgraded, would it work to down both servers, swap SERVER.EXEs, and bring them backup up?
