Some reports I've gotten about Maxtor drives are enough to frighten
me forever. I'm trying to enlarge my sample size to see if
the reports are no worse than other (e.g. wren, quantum) vendors'
stuff, or if I really should avoid Maxtor.

What's the scoop?
