Message-ID: <1113.2866057c@vger.nsu.edu> Date: 24 Jun 91 18:45:16 GMT Lines: 23 Help! I have a Sun 4/110 running Sun OS 4.0.3 and X11R4 and a 386PC running DOS plus TCP/IP and a X-server called Term-X from XINETRON. These two machines on a Ethernet. FTP and telnet both worked fine, but I can not get the X login screen on my 386PC. The Term-X show a screen with a operating (movable) X cursor that's all. I assume that the Term-X works. Please advice me how to configure the Sun to run XDM for the Term-X on PC. This is what I have done so far: Go into /usr/lib/X11/xdm Edit the file Xservers by adding: myPC:0.0 foreign Edit /etc/hosts and add the line 192.68.217.20 myPC Run (as root): xdm -server "myPC:0 386PC foreign /usr/bin/X11/twm" By the way, I also xhost myPC.
