Message-ID: <1991Jun21.050702.18342@newshost.anu.edu.au> Date: 21 Jun 91 05:07:02 GMT Sender: news@newshost.anu.edu.au Reply-To: david@phys.anu.edu.au Organization: School Computer Unit, RSPhysS&E, Australian National University Lines: 23 I want to run a magneto-optical (or all-optical) read-writeable removable disk on VAXStation 3100s running VMS or DECStation 3100/5000-200s running Ultrix. I would like to hear from anyone who has connected such a device directly to the SCSI bus, and what drivers or hardware adapters are required. I know that solutions exist for UniBus or Q-bus machines that do their own emulation, or for SUN workstations directly to SCSI, but I need information about direct SCSI connections to DEC workstations. Thanks in advance, David. -- ================================================================================ = David Baldwin Internet: david@phys.anu.edu.au Head, School Computer Unit, Phone: (intl) +61+6+2490104 Research School of Physical Sciences, (Australia) (06) 249 0104 Australian National University FAX: (intl) +61+6+2491884 Canberra, ACT, Australia (Australia) (06) 249 1884 ================================================================================ =
