It is a 3 button logitec bus mouse. After installing it using mkdev mouse, (which works fine, and the mouse shows up on the hardware list upon xenix bootup) I tried the usemouse program. As a user it responds: Can't open slave device (Errno 13). If I try it as root it gives no error message just prints Xenix386!login on the console and returns to the shell prompt. Either way the mouse does not work. X windows will startup, but with no mouse all I can do is admire its beauty :) There does not seem to be any conflicts with cards, as I tried stripping everything from the machine, except the essentials and it still would work. I also tried installing a 2 button serial mouse with no luck. Any ideas?
