Just put DOS 5 on my machine and started getting a lot of UAEs in Windows. I normally get *very* few (1 every week or two at most). Someone posted here that they suspected that the problem was in SmartDrive. I replaced it and the UAEs still came. So I replaced HIMEM with the Win 3 one as well. This seems to do much better, but I'll have to play with it more, first. Has anyone else had problems with the new SmartDrive/HIMEM? My system is: 386sx-20, 6 Meg, 66 Mb RLL HD, Trident VGA, AMI Bios, C+T chipset. Why would MS make these drivers less stable? Bonus not-related-to-anything-here question: why might a True Blue AT keyboard (the one with the Ctrl key in the right place, parked next to the A key) not work on my system, while a MaxiSwitch of ancient vintage does? The AT kbd works fine on other AMI-BIOS systems I tested... Aaron Wallace
