I'd like a one piece thing that folds. *adh* I have a portable ramp that someone sold me before I was able to get a lift for my van. They had said it was just the key to make me completely mobile. The ramp I have is about 30" wide and 5-6 ft in length, and is made out of fibreglass. Has raised lip alone each edge that is to help keep you from running over the side. The ramp is alright for going over a curb (although my scooter will go up a 4" curbine), is incovnenient dragging the thing along behind. Is never around when u need it. The length of the ramp is to short for being of much assistance for handeling stips. I tried to use it to go in/out of my van for a while (is a 1 ton model), and was less than satisfactory, because of it's short length. Scooter didn't have adequate power to handle the incline for entry, and exit was hair-raising. A 1 ton van is kind of high, and the short ramp....was like a ski-jump. I still have it around here somewhere, but haven't used it in gosh-donno-how-long. Wasn't as good as it was cracked up to be for my use. -- Uucp: ..!{decvax,oliveb}!bunker!hcap!hnews!3803!7.0!Terry.Norris Internet: Terry.Norris@p0.f7.n3803.z1.fidonet.org
