I have never felt out of place or looked down upon at an NFB convention, gathering or meeting because of my dog guide. I like dogs and feel more comfortable traveling in the city with one -- people tend to leave me alone, except for when they want to pet the dog. Also, I am a fast walker, and was told to get a dog guide because I kept overstepping my cane in high school in my impatience to walk briskly. I do not know how NFB's leaders feel about our dog guideusers, but I sincerely doubt that any seriously committed member of NFB is going to waste his or her time fretting about another's choice in mobility. Dr. Jernigan is not a petty man, and does not waste time, words and/or effort on such insignificances. -- | Poor is the person whose permission | Christine Faltz 33 Prospect Ave. | | depends upon the perceptions of others | Princeton, NJ 08540 | "Who is John Galt?"
