ACCESS (the paratransit service) no longer requires the "test" to see if someone can get up the step of the bus or not (some crips put up a stink and got it eleminated. :-) My sister and I are both legally blind and both can use the bus but use ACCESS from time to time because we are both severaly hearing impaired. We especially use it when going someplace for the first time when we have no landmarks to guide us in getting off the bus or getting where we need to go from the bus stop.
