I'm looking to purhcase a gun for home protection. I need one that my fiance can also shoot. I have done an initial search and talked with local NRA reps about getting proper training. I was also able to shoot a Beretta, but it seemed a bit large and heavy. I have never shot the Glock but have heard many good things about it and would appreciate any more input. Good reliability, easy handling and shooting, and a good saftey mechanism(s) are of primary concern (as they should be for a side arm for home protection). Is there anything I am missing and are there any other guns I should take a look at? What about the Glock 19? Thanks for any input. P.S. Also include the prices that I should look for if possible. Thanks.
