I am a graduate student just starting research pertaining to robot path planning and sensing. Our group has several SparcStations, a Microvax, and an SGI Iris. In the past the control and sensor interfacing has always been done with the use of ibm pc's. We are considering using the Sun SparcStations. Does anyone out there have any experiences with this? I've worked with D/A & A/D on PC's before, but not on Unix Systems. I'd really appreciate a few comments. Thus far I've found nothing. Is this thought crazy (aka am I making this a lot harder then it needs to be)? Thanks a lot! -- ******************************************************************************* * seaney@cae.wisc.edu * University of Wisconsin - Madison * ****************************** 53C Mechanical Engineering * * 608 / 262-7463 * 1513 University Avenue *
