Keywords: codec, h.261 Message-ID: <1991Jun23.014207.9776@ulrik.uio.no> Date: 23 Jun 91 01:42:07 GMT Sender: news@ulrik.uio.no (Mr News) Reply-To: Geir.Pedersen@use.uio.no (Geir Pedersen) Followup-To: sci.electronics Organization: Center for Information Technology, University of Oslo, Norway Lines: 13 Nntp-Posting-Host: gaustad.uio.no The CCITT standard H.261 specifies a video codec. Codecs based on this standard are going to be used over ISDN and will replace the current generation codecs being used in public and private 2Mbit/s (US: 1.54 Mbit/s (?)) video-conferencing systems. The first commercial products based on this standard is now becoming available. I am interested to learn about chips to support implementing a codec based on this standard. I would also appreaciate hints on trade journals where one could expect to find such information. Thank You, Geir Pedersen.
