If it's a ^S port, you most certainly can. For more info on the ^S port, anonymous ftp to mrcnext.cso.uiuc.edu in the /video directory. There is a description of the ^S protocol as well as some control software (I think...) At any rate, the software should be pretty straightforward, once you have the specs.
