I am doing work in applying artificial neural networks to the identification
and diagnosis of faults in machines by analysis of their vibration 
signatures.  I would very much appreciate to hear from anyone who has done/
is doing or knows of work begin done in applying AI techniques to this 
problem.  I know of some other work being done in this area with neural
networks, but haven't as yet been able to find for example a rule-based 
expert system approach to solving this problem.

Please reply directly by e-mail. If there is enough interest I will post a
summary.
