I am looking for any information on publicly available databases.
In particular, I need geographic data that has information of
USA cities and longitude/latitude (something that will allow the
calculation of distances between cities, preferably "Rand-McNally"
distances).  An anonymous ftp address would be great.

I apologize if this is not the right newsgroup and would appreciate
any suggestion as to the correct place to continue my search.
