I have a print server object that has supervisor status, and I keep getting back a return code of FF from AllocPermanentDirectoryHandle(). I know the path exists and even if I try just the volume name I still get 0xff returned. Any ideas? The actual call is Alloc..(0,"SYS:\",&rethandle,&retrights) All combinations of "SYS", "SYS:", "SYS:\PUBLIC" all return either 0xff (which doesn't list under that API call) or 0x98 (VOLUME_DOES_NOT_EXIST) which of course it does. (Its the SYS volume!) Any and all help greatly appreciated. -- ============================================================================== | Hamish Marson | | Computer Support Person, Computer Science Department | | University of Waikato | |Disclaimer: Anything said in this message is the personal opinion of the | | finger hitting the keyboard & doesn't represent my employers | | opinion in any way.
