If you have pulse, put 1170 in your dialing string instead. You may find it necessary to put a pause after it, depending on your phone system. (On campus, we discovered that unhooking one of the wires in the phone would disable call waiting and leave the rest of the system intact. But it was a strange in-house system.) I leave call waiting enabled for some calls, and disable it for others...
