A while back, I posted a query asking for inexpensive sources of
hardware handshaking cables.

Well, I got over a dozen requests to summarize what I found out,
but only one real answer (which was Hayes' >$30 cable).  Someone
else offered to sell me his spare for less (which I'll probably go
ahead and buy).  I suspect a good hardware handshaking cable can be had
from one of the cable supply houses for around fifteen bucks, but
unfortunately I can't offer a source or telephone number...
