The book you refered to was (I think) "Threaded Interpretive Languages" but can remember the name. Another userful one for you might be Stack Machines (I think) by Phil Koopman (I think). > Q. Has anyone attempted to write an expert system in Forth ? what > was it like ? I have written an automotive engine analyzer, but I've never written a paper about it (confidentiality problems). There is also one written for deisal locomotive engines that was written up in one of the Rochester Forth Conferences. Can't remember the year, but it was quite some time ago. I'm not sure how to answer the question about what it was like. It was a monster program, with too many decision points to test. On average, mine found the correct answer about 70% of the time which was better than the average mechanic could do consistantly. So, the system is still very succesful in the marketplace. The company that uses it is still very successful. > Q. Is there anywhere I could get hold of the FORML conference > proceedings for the last few years ? FIG sells them, but I have no idea if any library carries them. Sorry I can't be more help, but am on vacation and don't have all my reference sources with me. {B-{)> DaR ----- This message came from GEnie via willett.
