Message-ID: Date: 29 Jun 91 13:34:46 GMT Organization: University of Michigan Engineering, Ann Arbor Lines: 20 After trying to compile the code both with and without the -Olimit 2900 option, and running the tests, I get the following: op/eval........FAILED on test 9 op/s...........FAILED on test 40 As suggested, I went through the tests and ran them individually, and printed out the individual parts, and it showed that indeed, something is amiss with the s/\d+/$&*2/ function, but as for what to do about it... Has anyone sucessfully compiled perl on the DECstations under Ultrix 3.1d or 4.1 who might be able to offer suggestions? Or should I get ahold of gcc...? -- Mike Pelletier - Usenet News Admin & Programmer -- "Wind, waves, etc. are breakdowns in the face of the commitment to getting from here to there.
