  I've started wnews running on my coherent system, but am having
problems. The active file gets corrupted. For instance, rec.arts.tv.uk
has become rec.arts.tv.25191014. And there's a whole bunch of numbers at
the end of the file. Is this a known bug? I didn't change anything
that could have done that. Should I just use cnews?

  Also, tass seems very buggy, but I'm more worried about the active
file first.
