One of the modifications that need to be made to the A3000 to get the Toaster to work on it is to replace the ECS Denise with the old Denise. This implies that it is using the Denise in some capacity. Perhaps "ground up" redesign is stretching it, but they clearly rely on certain details about the chip set (i.e. breaking the rules) that they shouldn't. -- Ethan FF buckets of bits on the bus, FF buckets of bits.
