Does anyone have any source code for anim players ?

I would like to convert one to run under Unix/X-Windows but I haven't
a clue where to start.

Any documentation on the format of anim files would be handy as well.   I
realise this may be in some of the official C= documentation, but I don't
have this, so I can't check.
