I think the confusion arises from the fact that there are two different Q105 models. The first one is the 6 head, 3.5" half height, the second one is the single platter low profile 3.5". The half heights are being dumped at $350 or so, so low profiles are $450. The one inch drive is the LP105S, the half height is simply 105S. I'd imagine the 3000s have the newer drives, while the "I just got a cheap 105 meg drive" questions concern the older variety. OR
