A draw program is one which in effect keeps a geometrically or mathematically precise representation of the picture you are constructing and prints or displays it (if you wish) at the highest resolution possible on the output medium. A paint program, however, only works at the resolution of the GS screen, which is pretty crude compared to many of the printers now available. Also, which word processsing/desktop publishing programs are able to use higher resolution on the printer than on the display? (I believe AWGS will use a double or quadruple-sized font if it has it, scaled down by half or a quarter, to get better resolution on a printer than on the screen.) Ted Lee
