Graphwriter III, from Seven Hills Software, supports both objects,
paint, and text at the same  time. The drawing tools are not
Platinum Paint, however, there is enough there to do anything I've
ever wanted to do.

Seven Hills Software has a printer driver named, Independence that
supports both laser and HP 300 dpi ink jet printers.
