Here is a brief summary: 1. Donate the ST to a school 2. The low resale value of the STs is due to the low new price of the STes. Differences of ST and STe MEGA STe MEGA ST TOS 2.5 TOS 1.2/1.4 internal HD (SCSI 48M) not included 68000 16 MHz + chache 68000 8 MHz no chache DMA sound old stlye sound Hardware scrolling na Easy memory upgrade not so easy some extra serial port One serial 3. STe has a new blitter chip new sound chip Try expanding to the 68030 SST (Dave Small's Board) Then add a video card such as the ISAC. =========================================================== =========================================================== So that all so far. Has anyone tryed the new SST board? is it easy to install? how about the SST with a new video card? Does any one have any experience with the upgrade? Like cost and compatibility with ST Software? Thanks again, freds@hpspdla.spd.hp.COM Fred Saavedra
