(was: Help ! Our HP 720 is _slow_ !) Keywords: hp,720,slow,cobra,dhrystone Message-ID: <4426@idefix.informatik.uni-kiel.dbp.de> Date: 28 Jun 91 11:22:47 GMT References: <4404@idefix.informatik.uni-kiel.dbp.de> Organization: University of Kiel, West-Germany Lines: 24 Ok, my HP isn't slow :-) It was my mistake, the constant HZ in dhrystone.c was set to 60, it should be 100 ! Thanks to all who responded: Stefan Esser (se@IKP.Uni-Koeln.DE) Meinhard E. Mayer (hardy@golem.ps.uci.edu) Marc Sabatella (marc@hpmonk.fc.hp.com) Our application program runs too (it was a problem with jmp_buf). We will perform some other tests (I got three requests up till now from some guys, who want to test the machine too). Special tnanks to Marc, who told me how to tell vi about the screen size (eval `resize`, but only in an X window ?). Since we got no documentation (only some small books), I can't manage the other problems (but I'm sure, I will, if we buy some snake :-).
