Of course, I installed it right away on my 386 to try it out. Overall it looks pretty slick, but I've encountered a very annoying and fatal problem. While running MS-DOS 5 with QEMM 5.11, QEMM informs me of a General Protection Violation (Exception 13) whenever I try to run Backup (cpbackup), System Info (si) or File Find (ff) directly from DOS. The strange thing is that everything seems to work when I load the programs not directly from DOS, but through PCShell. Furthermore, I can also start cpbackup, si and ff in a DOS window under Windows 3.0 running in 386 enhanced mode, without receiving any messages from Windows that a DOS application has misbehaved. So, what's up? I looked through the manuals and readme file, but couldn't find anything that might be relevant to my problem. However, I can't claim that I've read all three inches of the new PCTools documentation. Has anybody encountered a similar problem? Are cpbackup, si and ff ill behaved? Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.
