I have an Epson LT, and no one seems to have to car battery converter any more. I'm afraid to get a "universal" converter from Radio Shack, even if it promises to deliver the right flavor of power. My AC converter says it gives out DC15V, 2A, 30W, with the outer contact negative on the plug. I leave in a week and a half on a cross-country trip; the only way I can keep sane with two kids in the car is to be able to get some work done. The 5-7 hour battery life that Epson claims is as optimistic as usual - I can squeeze past 2 hours only on low-light settings. David L.
