i'm looking for c or M680x0 assblr source for an 
algorithm that has great compression factors when 
applied to s-record formatted motorola executables.
(i don't know that this format or content would
 have significant influence-- i've been a manager
 for too long!  :)  )

i'd prefer a free public domain algorithm
but would be willing to pay for rights to source.

the compress algorithm needn't be quick, but it'd be
nice if the uncompress was speedy.  likewise, the
compress algorithm needn't be small but it'd sure
help if the uncompress code was small.  we do have 
4Mbytes of RAM to use as we decompress the image into it.

the uncompressed image is getting close to 2Mbytes.
i'd like the compressed image to be well under a meg.
