This message from Steve Dorner summarizes nicely: > Freeware: > > Techmail (mit.edu?) > POPmail (boombox.micro.umn.edu) > MacPost (somewhere in Sweden) (CN garbo.uwusa.fi) > MacPOP? (ftp.cc.berkeley.edu?) > Eudora (ftp.cso.uiuc.edu) > > Tokenware: > > MacMH (mail to networking@jessica.stanford.edu) > > Commercial: > > TCP/Connect II (mail to kdb@intercon.com) > > Steve Dorner, U of Illinois Computing Services Office > Internet: s-dorner@uiuc.edu UUCP: uunet!uiucuxc!uiuc.edu!s-dorner After a few attempts I settled on the Pop3 server from lilac.berkeley.edu pub/popper/popper-1.7.tar.Z. There are a few versions available. Eudora seems very good. I'll try it on a few non-technical users and see how they get on. A Few points. POPmail 1.6a seems to be the last to use Hypercard 1 I couldn't get MacPOP to work. It looked good tho. Does anyone know the precise address for Techmail? Finally is there a pop client for (ahem) Windows 3? Conor Nolan
