It seems as though the disk+controller has moved on to another astral plane, but psu etc is still OK. And, yes, we had it all backed up !!! :-) So, question: Could I take a modern, 110Mb drive + controller and plug it in, where the old used to be. This might be a cheaper option than buying a new external disk, but I just don't have the knowledge to take the risk! Please help, and thanks in advance.
