Just for compaison, we have a local bookstore chain which has "Happy Hour" on Fridays from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. during which all books get 25% off. I usually order my computer books and pick them up the first Friday after they come in, to receive the 25% discount. Since postal rates for books are extremely low (at least in The States, you should get someone to order your books for you and mail them to you.
