But I have 20 MB of memory; the pause may be due to garbage collection in systems with less memory and other applications running. Garbage collection is usually indicated in the minibuffer. Also, an emacs with lots of open buffers can grow in size and use up lots of memory. It is a good idea to either kill unused buffers, or to exit and restart it from time to time, before you begin getting slowdowns or warnings. Greetings, Hardy -------****------- Meinhard E.
