During the reboot, the file system sync attempt siezes up so before entering "b", I have to issue a "sync" command, which gets the reply "FC5 Space" -- what's that? The suspect command is, "tar cvf /dev/rst8 *" (from my home directory) and the write pin on the tape is not locked. gld -- ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Je me souviens ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Gary L.
