I have on one desk a MacII running AUX. I can tar on to a 3.5" floppy disk
with this system. (this is an older mac II so it does a mx of 800 K on a
disk)

I have on another desk a Sparc Station running SunOS 4+. I can tar on to
a 3.5" floppy disk with this system. 

I have not been able to get either systems to accept the other's tar'ed
disks... even when I tell the sun to do it at 800K..

Has anyone succeeded in this endeavor? If so, what are the secret
incantations that must be muttered???
