  I seem to be having a problem with starting the X server on a Sun 3/60
  running SunOS 4.0 with a cgfour.

  The binaries are being served via NFS, but no other machines served
  thus seem to be suffering the same or similar problems as decribed
  below.

  After a reboot, the user noticed that the runx11 command no longer 
  preformed as expected. No big surprize, it's a script. I then killed
  the two X:0 procs, then tried to start X with xinit. I got a server
  process, and nothing happened. No messages, just a hung process.

  In an attempt to get some idea of what was going on, I tried starting
  X with xdm, in hopes of capturing the messages, and what I get is

	error (pid 236): Hung in XOpenDisplay(:0), aborting
	error (pid 236): server open failed for :0, giving up

  and then the xdm process spawns, and two more messages appear.

  Can anyone give me some clues as to what I should be looking for here?
  I have rebooted, power-cycled, etc the machine several times.
