Hello World,,

I am trying to compile perl 4.0, patchlevel 10 under SunOS3.5 on our old
MC68020 Suns.  I  used the Sun default values in the Configure script, under 
which perl compiles without complaint.  However, it fails a single test:

*** Error code 2 (ignored)

If I run pat.t from the test directory everything works fine until test 47:

Segmentation fault (core dumped)

Dbx tells me where the code failed :

So, does anyone have any idea of what might be wrong?   I  am hoping there 
is a perl guru who has encountered this problem before. -- I am certainly not
one!!  So far I have managed to get perl running on our Sgi Irises, and 
would like to be able to say the same about our old MC68020 Sun machines.

Maybe I should be asking this of a Perl oriented mail list but I don't
know the address of one; if you do.....
