Wait..." and then the page appears. when i do "man 8 zmore" as a user, i get the msg "Reformatting page. Wait..." and then the message "Cannot exec binary file. sh: ./nroff: cannot execute. done." when i do "man 8 zic" it works both as a USER and as ROOT. some things I've noticed: 1. the dir and file permissions are the same for both /usr/local/man/man8 and /usr/man/man8 2. the file permissions are the same for zmore and zic. 3. the file permissions for "nroff" are the same. 4. there are no multiple copies of nroff, just one. 5. the "man 8 zic" is NOT getting formatted output from the caching "cat" subdirectories (I removed them to test). ----------------------------------------------------------- Shawn E.
